In 2008 I had worked as a photographer for 5 years at a small town newspaper in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. I was ready for a change and in late summer of 2008 gave notice and moved to Italy. The plan was to stay there indefinitely. I lasted 3 months. I ran out of money. Made no contacts and did not book a single job. I did photograph though. A lot. All for myself and for my own personal enjoyment. I traveled around Europe and rediscovered my personal voice and my personal vision. In hindsight this photograph taken in London in October of 2008 is a visual representation of that journey ten years ago.
